The Punjab government today transferred ten senior police officers, including seven of the IPS rank, with immediate effect.

The transferred officers included those of the ranks of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), an official spokesperson said here.

Three officials of Punjab Police Service (PPS) have also been shifted, he added.

While B Chandra Sekhar has been transferred as IGP Economic Offence Wing (EOW)-cum-Director Vigilance Bureau, Shashi Prabha Dwivedi goes as IGP Modernisation.

RPS Brar has been posted as IGP Crime.

Ram Singh will be the new Police Commissioner of Jalandhar whereas Jatinder Singh Aulakh has been made Amritsar Police Commissioner.
